Tindersticks : Don't Even Go There EP

...they can still bring the gloom as beautifully as ever...

If the Tindersticks won the lotto and spent the proceeds on an MDMA-laced jacuzzi they’d still be peddling tales of heartbreak around violins that need to get out more. No worries because lead track ‘Trying To Find A Home’ proves they can still bring the gloom as beautifully as ever. It’s lush and soulful and involves a piano that’s booked itself on the next plane to Switzerland so it can end it all legally. It’s unclear, however, who’s going to get turned on by ‘Sexual Funk’. Unless your idea of getting the horn involves teasing one out over a Blackpool pier bingo organ.
