The Pigeon Detectives

I Found Out

Combining Kaisers’ knack for a chorus with Towers’ wardrobe was always going to be risky, but these Leeds urch-rockers have pulled it off. They mix the opening riff of ‘Anarchy In The UK’ to the sentiments of ‘Same Jeans’, scuzz it up with some Slade and let the chart compilers sort out the rest. “She said my chance had come and gone/’Cos I’ve been in the same clothes too long!” wails Bowman before a cracking guitar solo/handclaps ‘combo’. There’s even an instrumental version for karaoke.
