Red Hot Chili Peppers : Roadtrippin'

This is an acoustic ballad about a trip to the seaside with some buds...

Never let it be said that the Red Hot Chili Peppers have ever shirked the burden of the literal. From 'Party On Your Pussy' to 'Under The Bridge', it's been the group's instinct to grasp the nettle, be it of bridge or be it, indeed, of party. And here, what do you know, we have 'Roadtrippin''. Kind of like what the Vengaboys 'We're Going To Ibiza' would be like if the Vengaboys were earnest Californians with abdomens like Homebase cladding, this is an acoustic ballad about a trip to
the seaside with some buds. And that's buds as in mates and not possible homosexual conquests,
my friend. "Just a mirror for the sun", sings Anthony Kiedis, swapping suntan tips with the listener, which is pretty funny. If you wanted to find a part of Anthony Kiedis that isn't already tanned, you'd have to be a gastroenterologist.
