This is the one sounds like Chas’n’Dave doing The Velvet Underground; I mean actually sounds like it was made right in the thick of the ’60s with wasted Parisian hustler girls banging on the window for smack money while Noel and the lads were having a knees-up round a pub snug’s joanna. Thing is, it not only works nicely, it reinstates a sense of their own ridiculousness that, when you think about it, went away just as their records started being shit.
