NME Reviews

Los Campsinos

Los Campesinos

Los Campesinos

My Year In Lists

Los Campesinos! are the kind of pussies who used to get cooked and then eaten by barbarian chieftains out of massive gilded bowls. To be fair, had they been born even 20 years ago they wouldn’t be able to walk into a pub without being pulped. Lucky for them that they were born into a time more accepting of indie wimps where they’re allowed to open songs with lines like: “You said send me stationary to make me horny/So I always write you letters in multi colours”. The song’s OK, but these guys have got to man up soon otherwise I might mug them.

What a pathetic review. They're geeky. Fantastic mate.

AM, did the people who hired youfail to explain the definition of review? Just in case, I looked it upre·view –noun 1. a critical article or report, as in a periodical, on a book, play, recital, or the like; critique; evaluation. Did you in fact just listen to the opening line, decide you didn't like the song and file you're review from that. Is it not your job to actually give an opinionate review of the music, not just whether the band are geeky or not? Sterling work!

Seriously, wtf? Was it collect tokens from a cereal packet to become a NME reviewer? And I use the term reviewer lightly. So you don't like them. At least review the goddam track. And learn to spell the name right.
