Hey Little Sweetie

Adding a vague whiff of synth to their uninspired indie-by-numbers may be Little Man Tate’s competitive way of delivering a little robotic fart into the face of Sheffield’s other, now defunct, post-Monkeys hangers-on Milburn – but the fact is their dull new direction is only as daring as poking a turd with a stick and equally without purpose. Their game is over: the sooner these chirpy philistines give up, the better.

Little Man Tate....hated the movie...hate the name..... 'chirpy philistines'? .....Then they will go far.... they represent a whole generation growing up on xboxes and no books......Personally I think they are rather good...mwahh

find it amazing that nme writers can be so two-faced...look back over the reviews they've received in the past and it's been an 'arctic monkeys comparisons must stop now' and 'destined for big things' kind of write up and then gradually move towards a 'we hate anything that gets beyond the first album, unless you're muse, oasis, arctics or kaisers' kind of attitude (although i think most of those bands are quality)...anywho, this track isn't the best on the new album, but the new album is good and i really hope everyone gives it a chance regardless of what certain writers seem determined to say (look at maximo's second album review, didn't mean the album wasn't quality though :D)these lads have worked hard, produced 2 good albums and regularly sold out tours and not sold out trying to be a smart-arsed journalist! i bet friendly fires get a slating by the time album number 2 comes along although they better, and look at the ting tings getting such a big build up despite being tripe!
