The Bears Are Coming

Despite growing up just down the road from where the Download festival takes place in Castle Donington, modern primitives LOTP have so far managed to resist the lure of the goth leash, the emo fringe or the flame-covered metal boots, instead preferring to paint themselves with geometric patterns and create music as likely to be inspired by arcade machine bleeps as dancehall rhythms. Third single ‘The Bears Are Coming’ is
a compelling piece of burbling electronica that sounds not unlike C-3PO breakdancing on broken glass. Which is great obviously.

Amazing. Didn't like them at first, but after gradual listening every so often, 'The Bears Are Coming' is now one of my favourite tracks of the moment. It's a Klaxons song, being mashed up with sound effects from arcade games such as Space Invaders, with a hint of mystery painted over the top. Overall, a wicked track.
