NME Reviews

Ladytron : Blue Jeans

Crafty and deserving of attention.

There are many reasons to dislike Ladytron. They have an irritating love of style over substance and a contrived, pain-in-the-ass aloofness. In fact, just for birthing electroclash before it even had a name, they should be roundly horsewhipped. Sadly, 'Blue Jeans' is no black mark against them. It's Brill Building teen pop, chewed through a filter of early eighties synths and ‘XTRMNTR’-period Primal Scream. Crafty and deserving of attention.
