Fucked Up

Fucked Up

Fucked Up

No Epiphany

There have been moments like this before: when a band sum up the essence of right now with a song that reflects back like a mirror. Toronto’s Fucked Up are having that moment right now. But ‘No Epiphany’ isn’t a ‘Standing In The Way Of Control’. No, it’s a ball of oozing contradictions, like last year’s mind-wrestling Bardot and Gainsbourg rematch ‘Year Of The Pig’. Mixing a knuckle-dragging growl with a kaleidoscopic lightness, it’s like My Morning Jacket fell asleep on the electricity generator, went home to the angels, then got really, really angry. Glorious.

This band is completely overrated, and what's more, I cannot open a NME page without a picture of this fatass completely naked, grose and unnecessary since their music suck.
