Foo Fighters

Breakout (RCA)

Foo Fighters by numbers, an unlovable, disappointing thrash that
sounds like the millions of pop-punk no-marks the Foos usually tower miles
above. Third-single-off-the-album can be a pretty uninspiring place to be at the
best of times, but nearly any other track off the excellent 'There Is Nothing
Left To Lose'
would be preferable to this clunky barrage, which will
doubtless score big with kids whose brain cells have already been decimated by
hot'n'cold running Blink 182. Thankfully, though, no Queen or
Gerry Rafferty covers on the B-sides.
