Dinosaur Pile-Up

My Rock’n’roll

There’s a pretty simple formula to Dinosaur Pile-Up’s rock‘n’roll, but boy is it effective: start with equal parts Foo Fighters and Weezer, add a pinch of Pavement and just a touch of Biffy, stir until piping hot, et voila. Crunching guitars, quiet/loud/quiet/very loud dynamics and Matt Bigland’s slacker drawl blend wonderfully here to demonstrate precisely why next year is DPU’s for the taking. And in flipside demo ‘Love Is A Boat, And We’re Sinking’, they’ve even provided a handy glimpse of what’s set to become the festival anthem of 2009.
