Lights & Music

Australian national service usually involves working a year in a London pub. That’s because if Australians aren’t subjected to dour British folk drunkenly throwing barstools at each other night after night, they’ll end up – shudder – happy. One example of this terrifying ‘happy Australian’ phenomenon is ‘Lights & Music’ by Cut Copy – a fat squelch of an electro-disco track that appears to be about how brilliant dancing is. It’s enough to make you sick, or at least it would be if the darn thing wasn’t so totally irresistible. This thing’s going to be inescapable all summer. Joyous.
