School kids being taught to make ringtones

Ministry Of Sound are giving free lesson plans and downloads to schools with an aim of making ringtone creation part of the national curriculum.

A company called Phonepayplus came up with the idea - creating a new programme called PhoneBrain.

The programme intends to aid school kids develop business plans based round premium-rate numbers.

According to Theregister.co.uk it also aims to educate the children how to use such services.

The Assistant Head Of Sixth Form at Business Academy in Bexley, Dominic Evans, explained: ""The kids are really engaged and love using the technology to create their own personal ringtones. We have to drag them away when the bell rings!"
