The DJ served 10 months in jail for drug possession

BBC Radio 1 DJ Grooverider has been released from jail in Dubai after serving ten months of a four-year sentence for drug possession.

DJ Grooverider was jailed for cannabis possession after being found with the drug in November last year.

BBC Newsbeat reports that the DJ, real name Raymond Bingham, was released early after being pardoned by the Dubai royal family.

He has now flown back to the UK to meet with family and friends.
