Tunde Adebimpe and Kyp Malone will join Paul Simon and more

Tunde Adebimpe and Kyp Malone of TV On The Radio have been added to the line-up of a fundraiser in New York City next month in order to raise money for 826NYC.

Parker Posey and Bobby Cannavale will also now take part in the event which will feature performances by Paul Simon and Department Of Eagles.

As previously reported, Department Of Eagles, featuring members of Grizzly Bear, will debut new material at the event entitled Revenge Of The Bookeaters, taking place at Town Hall on October 7.

The annual event will feature music, comedy, and storytelling including a story from Ira Glass, a talk by Dave Eggers, a new play by Jonathan Franzen read by Eric Bogosian, Patricia Clarkson and Franzen himself, and will be hosted by The Daily Show’s John Oliver.

The event is named after a story by an 826NYC student and is in its third year. 826NYC is a non-profit organisation which supports students aged 6-18 with their creative and expository writing skills, as well as helping teachers to inspire students to write.
