Hospitalised singer takes health-related break

R'n'B singer Toni Braxton has cancelled her scheduled shows this week in Las Vegas as a result of her hospitalisation for chest pains last week.

She is currently in the midst of a two-year residency at the Flamingo Las Vegas, and had a two-week break slated to begin at the end of this week, which should see her return to the stage on May 6.

Braxton previously had health issues with her heart when she was treated for a viral inflammation called pericarditis.
