Tokyo Police Club line up dates on both coasts

They also release cover song for charity

Tokyo Police Club have announced that they will play a handful of dates in California and New York this autumn.

In addition to hitting Colorado's Monolith Festival on September 14, the band will play shows in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and New York in support of their full-length debut album 'Elephant Shell'.

The band have also announced the release of a charity single to benefit lupus research.

Their cover of The Rentals' 'Friends Of P' is available at FriendsOfP.org, where visitors can hear or download the track for a small donation.

The tour dates are:

Los Angeles, CA Hammer Museum (July 24)
Morrison, CO Red Rocks Monolith Festival (September 14)
Los Angeles, CA Henry Fonda Theater (18)
San Diego, CA Street Scene Festival (20)
San Francisco, CA Treasure Island Music Festival (21)
New York, NY Webster Hall (October 18)
