Mark Ronson joins The Zutons onstage at Glastonbury

Band say producer made their song 'Valerie' what it is today

The Zutons were joined onstage by Mark Ronson during their performance on Glastonbury's Other Stage tonight (June 29).

The super-producer played guitar on 'Valerie', the song which he made famous when his Amy Winehouse-fronted version was a massive hit in 2007.

In a nod to the cover, the band's frontman Dave McCabe said: "Does anyone know Amy Winehouse?"

The crowd responded with a cheer and McCabe replied: "And guesting on this song, the person who actually made this song what it is, Mark Ronson."

Ronson then came on stage, wearing a grey suit and hat, to play guitar on the song.

When the song finished and Ronson exited the stage, McCabe said to the cheering throng: "Let's hear it for Mark Ronson - he's already done his gig, he didn't need to do that", referring to his earlier Other Stage performance.

A few tracks in McCabe dedicated a track to fellow Glastonbury performers The Raconteurs, saying: "Anyone see The Raconteurs yesterday? Our drummer fancies Jack White, so this is for him."
