Dinosaur Jr, Spoon men also contribute to collaborative compilation

The Kooks, The Raveonettes, Dinosaur Jr.'s J Mascis. and Spoon frontman Britt Daniel are among the artists who have contributed to a collaborative charity compilation put together by the Dandy Warhols.

'Breathe Easy' features the musicians working together at the Dandy Warhols' Portland, Oregon studio The Odditorium, to create original songs that feature the artists laying down tracks over those created by others.

Additional collaborators include The Switches, The Bravery, Black Angels and Saul Williams.

The compilation will be sold digitally beginning October 21. All profits from sales of the album will go to Three Rivers Land Conservancy, a non-profit that works to conserve and preserve Oregon's lower Willamette Rivers from urbanisation.
