The Breeders end UK tour in style

The Breeders rolled through a crowd-pleasing, career-spanning set at the second of two sold-out London shows last night (April 19).

Kim Deal's band, back after a six-year gap, played eight tracks from new album 'Mountain Battles', including current single 'We're Gonna Rise'.

But the band also played highlights from their other three albums 'Pod', 'Last Splash' and 'Title TK'. These included the big hits 'Cannonball' and 'Divine Hammer' and their cover of The Beatles' 'Happiness Is A Warm Gun'.

The set opener, 'Tipp City', was actually a track from Deal's 1995 side project The Amps – it as the first single from their sole album 'Pacer'. They also played the title track of the record later in the set.

Deal was in typical chatty form on the last night of the group's UK and Irish tour, bantering the crowd and telling them her sister and bandmate Kelley is "a better singer" before she took to the mic to tackle the lead vocal on 'I Just Wanna Get Along' .
