Oasis' Liam Gallagher wants to move into the Dakota Building, the New York flat block where John Lennon lived and died, according to the Daily Star.
The star previously said he wanted to move to New York, and has since told friends he wants an apartment in the block, which overlooks Central Park, and was also the setting for the classic 1968 Roman Polanski horror movie 'Rosemary's Baby'.
A friend of the Oasis man is quoted as saying: "He loves that part of New York and feels he'd be very much at home there. He would also feel close to Lennon's spirit.
Gallagher has already revealed his love for the US city, and claims he wants to live there because he likes the location – not because he wants to pursue a career in the American media.
"That's the next step for me," he told The Sun earlier this week, "and no, I'm not going to do acting or any of that shit.
"I've been offered a few things but it's not me. I'm just going to a place where I can be me."
John Lennon was shot dead aged 40 by deranged fan Mark Chapman outside the Dakota Building on December 8, 1980.
