Pete Doherty will play an intimate acoustic set in London tonight (Sunday).

The Babyshambles frontman will perform at The Nambucca in north London. Doors from 7pm, admission is £20 on the door.

The show follows on from his first two shows in Brixton last month, which resulted in a stage invasion and tussles with fans.

Doherty has been posting works in progress and demos of new songs online in the recent months – but despite the fact that he hasn’t released an album since 2009’s ‘Grace/Wastelands’ the Brixton shows were light on new material, although he did play unreleased song ‘Farmer’s Daughter’ and new composition ‘Down For The Outing’ during the two gigs, as well as an untitled new song.

Doherty, currently living in Paris as he tries to carve out an acting career, has also contacted Babyshambles bandmate Drew McConnell after hearing the band are planning to undertake a world tour without their frontman. McConnell told NME about the flustered calls, saying: “Peter’s called me twice since the last time I spoke to NME.

“His exact words were, ‘Let’s get the band back together’. And that’s sweet, it’s nice. We’re talking about Mik and I going over to Paris and staying at his for a few days soon.”

The Nambucca is at 596 Holloway Road, London N7 6LB
