Perry Farrell's Chicago festival will take place next August

Lollapalooza has announced its dates for 2009.

The annual festival, founded by Jane's Addiction's Perry Farrell, is set to take place August 7-9, 2009 at Chicago's Grant Park.

The festival once travelled around the country, but now stays put in Chicago each year. Festival lineups and additional information are expected to be announced in the coming months.

Most recent Lollapalooza headliners included Radiohead, Rage Against The Machine and Kanye West.
