'SGT PEPPER' IS A RECORD BREAKER!

The supergroup version of 'Sgt Pepper' is the fastest-selling download of all time...

Paul McCartney and U2’s version of
’SGT PEPPER’S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND’ which opened LIVE 8 Has become the fastest-selling download of all time .

The artists took to the stage for the historic event in front of 200,000 people in London’s Hyde Park on July 2.

The song, which was the opening track of the 1967 album of the same name by The Beatles, was never released as a single. However, it shot to the top of Apple Computers’ download chart within hours of release.

The Live 8 version has also entered the Guinness Book Of Records for being the quickest single put on sale. It was available online within 45 minutes.

The profits will go to Live 8, though there are worries that illegal copies of the concert could cut sales.
