Noel Gallagher praised Blur's 'Beetlebum' on Russell Brand's BBC Radio 2 show last night (September 28).
The Oasis guitarist and songwriter said the group's 1997 UK Number One single "a great tune", and told Brand that he liked it when the DJ offered him a choice between the song and The Smiths' 'Still Ill' on the radio show.
The guitarist also explained more about the current state of his injuries – Gallagher was pushed over onstage by a fan earlier this month.
Gallagher said: "[My ribs] are on the mend. The next gig is in ten days in Liverpool. I'm not gonna be right for that, it takes another five weeks to heal up, but we've got to start that tour 'cause it'll be two years' work out the window!"
The UK leg of Oasis' tour starts at Liverpool Echo Arena on October 7, the day after the release of their new album 'Dig Out Your Soul'.
