Noel Gallagher claims it will be out in September

Oasis have confirmed that their new album will be out in the autumn.

Although no official date has been set for the release, Noel Gallagher told Russell Brand's Radio 2 show last night (May 17) that the band will be releasing their as-yet-untitled-album in September.

The Oasis guitarist refused to be drawn on the exact date, claiming "his manager" would tell him off for messing up the launch by letting the date just slip out.

As previously reported on NME.COM three songs reportedly from the new album were leaked online.

Links to downloads of 'I Wanna Live A Dream (In My Record Machine)', 'Nothin On Me' and 'Stop The Clocks' appeared on messageboards, fansites and YouTube earlier this month.

The songs weren't even 'leaks', they were from when they were recording dont believe the truth, and are nothing like what theyll be like on the album.

its_rudeimentary - Obviously you dont recall their shambolic headline set at Glastonbury 2004??Oasis are long over due a "good album" because their last 3 have been pants by their previous high standards.Noel should stick to writing (Not singing)Liam should stick to singing (Not writing)

Fair play but I think that was a one-off because the band was going thru a lull. There are only a few bands on this planet cud blow a crowd that size away and Oasis are definately one of em.

Gregblade05, that last line is so chichéd. on the rest of your comment, the cat at home knows that Noel can't write albums as good as the first 3/4 anymore. nobody should expect them or else you will only be disappointed. Glasto '04 didn't seem great but then i wasn't there

Oh Great, another dreary collection of Oasis songs to not look forward to. Every album since their debut has gone down in quality- atleast they are consistent.

Oasis isn't even that good... I don't know why everybody likes them so much. They write generic songs, and I don't think there's really anything that special about them.
