Early albums get deluxe treatment

Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds have announced that they are reissuing their entire back catalog.

The deluxe double-disc collector's editions will be digitally re-mastered and remixed in 5.1 surround sound. They will include a specially commissioned short film by UK artists Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, as well as b-sides from the singles and exclusive sleeve notes.

The first albums to be reissued will be 'From Her To Eternity', 'The First Born Is Dead', 'Kicking Against The Pricks' and 'Your Funeral, My Trial', which the band originally put out between 1984 and 1986.

The reissues will be released via Mute at the end of the year. Exact release dates and further details are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
