Band play 'party' in E4 show's 'hometown'

TV series 'Skins' previewed its new series with a gig in Bristol at the weekend (February 8).

The E4 series which returns tonight (February 11) staged a show featuring Late Of The Pier, Killa Kela and and Massive Attack DJs at the Motion Skate Park in the city where the programme is shot.

The first episode of the new season was also given an advanced airing at the "party".

Unfortunately the set-up left Late Of The Pier sounding a bit tinny despite their energetic set, while Killa Kela sounded flat. Massive Attack faired better with the PA during their DJ set, drawing in the largest crowd of the evening.

Meanwhile the advanced screening of 'Skins' went down well with comedian Bill Bailey, who stars as Maxxie’s dad, among those shining second time around, while the fact the show is filmed in Bristol went down well with the packed crowd.
