Star is accused of fraud

Kiss' Gene Simmons is being sued by a Los Angeles man who claims that the bassist wrongfully cut him out of a marketing deal with the Indy Racing League.

In the suit filed yesterday (September 3), Allan Brown is seeking unspecified damages and accuses Simmons and his two business partners of fraud and slander.

He alleges that they cut him out of a deal he helped broker between Simmons and the racing league while he was on a personal holiday, reports the Associated Press.

He also claims that they mischaracterised him as "lazy" and "rich" to racing league officials.

Simmons has worked with IndyCar racing in the past, and co-wrote a song for the league titled 'I Am INDY'.
