The line up of the main stages are not important - Glastonbury has so much more to offer to people open minded enought to move away from the Pyramid/Other stage. Stop moaning, get up off your folding arm chair and investigate. It makes it really good fun. Persnonally I'm quite pleased all the small minded people are staying away.

this line ups not so bad. All you crying little bitches should just go to leeds/reading and leave this festival to the people that will enjoy it. I RULE

At last the glasto doubters for this year will be put back in their narrow minded boxes! Ignore some of the tripe on the pyramid (Fratellis, James *unt, The Feeling etc) and you'll sees ome of the best new bands around, add that in with some small stage appearances from the likes of Elbow and the full glastonbury experience then this year will prove to people that glastonbury is not dead! I can't fookin' wait!

I hope now all those 'Glasto-bashers' will realise that you can't really compare it to line ups at other fests, considering a huge amount of these acts are relatively unknown, would be a bit ignorant to say the line-up is shit, right?Looks like a buzzer to me and I can't wait. Don't get me wrong, I won't be seeing Jay Z, and I'm so excited I feel sick about seein Queens and Rage at Reading, but this is a different experience altogether, you know this to be true.Peace.

now that is a line up! i dont care what the haters say that line up is worth every penny! where else can you see jay z, john cale and zion train on the same bill. Glastonbury is about diversity and THAT kids is a diverse line up! cant wait!!!

Obviously good artists are gonna clash at big Fesitvals but i was really looking forward to seeing Kings of Leon, Jamie T and Pete Doherty (behaviour permitting) and they are all on at the same fucking time. Now i am prepared to walk from stage to stage with the best of them but i cant see me watching Jamies T in the Peel Tent for 10 minutes, legging it all the way to the Park Stage for a bit of PD and then flying over to the Pyramid stage to see KOL.

How people can say the line-up is crap is beyond me some great bands are playing and some good up and coming bands. I'm going to Glasto this year for the first time with my girlfriend and were totally looking forward to it not just for music but the whole experience. The bands i'm most looking forward to are: Kings Of Leon, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, The Subways, We Are Scientists, Foals, Jamie T, LIghtspeed Champion, Hot Chip, The Wombats, Black Kids, Biffy Clyro, The Futureheads, The Courteeners, The Teenagers, The Verve, Jack Penate and Newton Faulkner (how cool would it be if him and Massive Attack done Teardrops together???) Peace out.

As expected once all the stages are revealed the line up suddenly looks superb! Can not wait!

Yay! Mystery Jets at Glasto! I knew it would happen one day!Plus the rest is pretty awesome too! I can relive the NME Tour! There are so many bands I want to see in this lineup! This is great! Slightly disappointed about the lack of Patrick Wolf though, and I keep thinking when I read Patrick Watson that it's him! Also, do you think where it says Regan that it means Fionn Regan, cos I really hope so, and he was great last year! All I need to do now is get those pesky A levels out of the way, then Glasto here I come!

Well all i can say is that im very pleased with the line up:) fair enuff it may not have the LEG-ENDS like previouse years but so what?! and anyway....whats the point in moaning.... you all bought ya tickets knowing full well that the line up might not be what ya expect and that the line up isnt relesed untill a month later! deal with it and have fun!

Anyone have an idea of when the special guests will be announced?

Apr 29, 2008

What about Saturday night then? Jay-Z, Massive Attack, Unkle, CSS, Biffy Clyro, The Proclaimers (joke) all on at the same time! What a kick in the balls....i would've gone to see all of em. That aside, the line up is bettered by the smaller stages - definitely worth exploring new music. Just checked out Yeasayer on myspace and am suitably impressed so will be checking them out. However much the large amount of new bands impresses, this is the kind of stuff you can see at smaller festivals around the UK (Field Day, Redfest etc) which are dedicated to new music and cost a hell of a lot less. I'm sure it'll be a great time, but just feel the Eavis' got turned down by some bigger hitters this year.

SHAKIN' STEVENS IS THERE TO SHOW SOME OF THE CRAP ACTS TODAY WHY HE'S BEEN PERFORMING FOR FORTY YEARS!! Great live act, maybe not to everyones taste, but its good too see him in this kind of line up. a little variety.

Apr 29, 2008

There is something for everyone in this line up. it goes so much deeper than the commercial festivals It is fantastic value for up to 4 days entertainment. Huge amounts of money go to charity each year. Lets all start loving Glastonbury again

Giles Woodward

Apr 29, 2008

fat toni

Apr 30, 2008

fat toni

Apr 30, 2008

fat toni

Apr 30, 2008

listening to music....sun bathing....drinking BROTHERS--what more could you want?

qcardy

Apr 30, 2008

decent line up but they shouldn't list Pete Doherty since he's in jail and won't be out until after the festival.

Evil_Bob

Apr 30, 2008

Triple whammy of CSS, Battles and MGMT all back to back on the Park stage? Worth the admission alone.

SuperMikey

Apr 30, 2008

The lineup looks completely ace, but i'm sad to see no Amy Winehouse or Guillemots there.Saturday main stage just looks terrible, Jay-Z is a very poor choice to headline when there are so many festivals getting top quality bands.Glastonbury is supposed to be the cream of the crop, and that choice has let me down.

SOMERSET BOI

Apr 30, 2008

kool kieth and cutmaster kurt on the park stage on saturday, amazing

chamby

May 1, 2008

Ha ha! who's laughing now! Ace line up. All those moaning minnies can eat their words and wash them down with a big cup of steamy good festival line up. I'm gonna be well busy at glasto.

Joparty

May 1, 2008

No Bloc Party makes me sad, but the rest of it is awsome! Some of the pyramid choices are a bit mehh but the other stages look tastey.Pear Cider eh? might have to try that out before June :P

M1keyBoi

May 8, 2008

Well looking at the indie bands lined up for glastonbury this year I am a bit dissapointed with Leeds lineup, this year it just doesn't compare. I mean bands like the courteneers missing come on..oh well theres still time

jacko0vhull

May 29, 2008

NME is about good music, and jay-z doesn't fit with these bands, the majority of them are rock/indie... hes a rapper, what a daft person to headline a great festival
