Plus former Mull Historical Society man is also helping out 'Trainspotting' author

Former Mull Historical Society musician Colin Macintyre is set to play UK dates around the release of his new single.

'Famous For Being Famous', taken from MacIntyre's solo album 'The Water', will be released on September 22, through his own Future Gods label.

New b-sides set to accompany the single's download release will be 'You & Me Ground Zero' and 'When Losers Become Friends'.

Colin Macintyre will play:

Glasgow King Tuts (September 20)
Liverpool Academy 2 (21)
London Cargo (October 28)
Manchester Roadhouse (29)

Meanwhile 'The Water''s opening track, 'You're A Star', has been confirmed as the title track for 'Trainspotting' author Irvine Welsh's new ITV mockumentary film, 'The Good Arrows', due to be shown early next year.
