McClure will play an acoustic gig at Andy Nicholson's hangout

Reverend And The Makers' Jon McClure is set to open former Arctic Monkeys bassist Andy Nicholson's new bar The Bowery by playing an acoustic gig tonight (September 24).

Nicholson bought the Sheffield pub in a deal with club promoters James O'Hara and Michael Dean.

The three have installed what they call "the unrivalled" 'Funktion One'[b/] sound system at the venue, which boasts custom-designed windows from local artist and musician [b]Kid Acne.

The floor above the 200-capacity bar will be occupied Supreme Being @ The Bowery - a clothes shop managed by Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders.
