Plus John McClure says Scouting For Girls are 'dodgy'

Reverend And The Makers played a lively set earlier this evening (August 16) at the 4Music stage at V Festival's Staffordshire site.

Wearing a black leather jacket, frontman John McClure kept the big crowd dancing – despite heavy rain.

Still sporting his now trademark mohawk, McClure asked halfway through the set: "Is it just me that thinks Scouting for Girls' name is dodgy?"

The crowd cheered back and the band continued with their set which included 'The State Of Things', 'Heavyweight Champion Of The World' and 'Open Your Window'.

Then later in the gig McClure pointed to his shirt, saying it referred to a website called Instigatedebate.com, where stars are set to engage in topical debate with fans, and shunning celebrity gossip.

McClure then egged punters on to ask celebs new questions, saying: "Next time you see a celebrity, ask them if it's OK to bomb Iraq!”

The band concluded on 'He Said He Loved Me', which ignited a massive sing-along.

Reverend And The Makers played:

'State of Things'
'Bandits'
'Heavyweight Champion'
'18-30'
'Sky Highatrist'
'Open Your Window'
'Silence is Talkin’'
'Armchair Detective'
'The Machine'
'He Said He Loved Me'
