ORINOCCO/NOEL, NO GO

Noel Gallagher stomps on Uncle Bulgaria...

Oasis have prevented The Wombles from releasing an album called 'What's The Story? (Tobermory)'. Wombles creator Mike Batt said: "Noel said he thought The Wombles were cool but he didn't want anyone nicking his title."

Two years ago, Oasis vetoed The Smurfs from covering any of their songs. And Oasis' spokesman told NME: "I'm not surprised that Noel said this, even though the Wombles are cooler than The Smurfs." Noel Gallagher is currently working on new Oasis tracks at a secret UK location.
