Tom Hardy: 'I have no worries about Bane's voice in 'The Dark Knight Rises''

Brit actor says he trusts Christopher Nolan when it comes to Batman

Tom Hardy has insisted he isn't worried that his character Bane's voice will be inaudible in The Dark Knight Rises.

Since the nine-minute prologue to Christopher Nolan's Batman sequel was released on IMAX prints of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, audiences have complained that Hardy's character sounds inaudible.

Last month, however (January 1), Warner Brothers denied reports that the supervillan's voice would be re-edited for the film.

When asked by MTV if he had any concerns about the issue, Hardy replied:

Not at all. I trust Christopher Nolan implicitly. I'm not worried at all about people understanding him mumbling away.

Nolan has insisted that he won't bow to pressure and edit the dialogue. A source said: "Chris wants the audience to catch up and participate rather than push everything at them. He doesn't want to dumb things down. You've got to pedal faster to keep up."

Hardy is joined as the film's villain by Anne Hathaway as anti-heroine Catwoman, while Christian Bale reprises his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The Dark Knight Rises is released in cinemas on July 20, 2012.
