The Strokes

Hailed as bringing about the revival of post-punk garage rock, debut album ‘Is This It’ was released in 2001 and reached number 2 in the UK charts. Movie-star girlfriends, 6 UK top-40 singles and three dozen pairs of stone-wash pipe-jeans later, the Strokes reached number two again with their follow-up album ‘Room On Fire’, released on Rough Trade.
