Genre blasted again after 13 year-old 'emo girl' commits suicide
Thu 08 May, 2008
Surely it stems from deeper reasons. The whole sub-culture of an "emo" is not just down to the music. If she really understood the band that much then she would see they're targeting kids like her but trying to help them rather that cut themselves or whatever. All too many times it is easy to pin the blame on an outsider such as,in this case music, when in reality the finger of blame could be pointed alot closer to home.

not that i was a huge fan,but for too long NME you rubbished them and the fanbase and hype was never going to build on that basis.I'm not saying that NME is the be all or end all but It is a highly praised magazine for it's views and when you slate a band, the public aren't going to take to them. The same thing happened with the harrisons,in that they themselves believe they are good but when magazines like NME don't agree they aren't going to get anywhere.Shame really.

Fri 08 Feb, 2008
in the past i always felt that glastonbury was a bout setting the bar and showing other festivals the great acts they could get to play.Taking nothing away from any of the headliners, this looks like very average at best headliners.Last year was much the same, with killers and arctics playing most of the festivals and the who having played T in the park the year before and it was nothing groundbreaking,I really think that either glastonbury is getting weaker or that the other festivals are catching up with it,The Police who are headlining IOW are bigger than these bands and I think Glasto missed a trick by not booking them to headline.
