Emo music attacked over teen suicide

Genre blasted again after 13 year-old 'emo girl' commits suicide

Thu 08 May, 2008

Comments (1)

Surely it stems from deeper reasons. The whole sub-culture of an "emo" is not just down to the music. If she really understood the band that much then she would see they're targeting kids like her but trying to help them rather that cut themselves or whatever. All too many times it is easy to pin the blame on an outsider such as,in this case music, when in reality the finger of blame could be pointed alot closer to home.

Glastonbury festival 2008 headliners announced

Find out who is joining Jay-Z at Worthy Farm

Fri 08 Feb, 2008

Comments (1)

in the past i always felt that glastonbury was a bout setting the bar and showing other festivals the great acts they could get to play.Taking nothing away from any of the headliners, this looks like very average at best headliners.Last year was much the same, with killers and arctics playing most of the festivals and the who having played T in the park the year before and it was nothing groundbreaking,I really think that either glastonbury is getting weaker or that the other festivals are catching up with it,The Police who are headlining IOW are bigger than these bands and I think Glasto missed a trick by not booking them to headline.

It irritates me when bands freely miss out scotland.Credit to the hives they played glasgow in november but there is still quite a lot of the country they could play in.Also, Electric Six should play elsewhere besides Inverness.Edinburgh should be first on the tour circuit.
