You do that Lipgloss, let me know when the new Smiths album is out, I'll be first in line. Don't get me wrong, I don't think The Courteeners are going to change the face of music. They're just a good band amongst a lot of mediocrity. They're awesome live too!

It's all too easy to draw comparisons with The Courteeners and Oasis, namely because they both hail from Manchester. I doubt Midgeman & 20legend have actually listened to St Jude as musically the two bands sound nothing alike. If anything they sound more like a cross between The Smiths & The Artic Monkeys. I think The Courteeners will break the mold of bands only lasting one album such as Fratellis, kaiser Chiefs etc
